Your wellness depends on how well you deal with challenges that come across your life path. Your positive perspective about yourself gives you an insight to the many challenges that you might be facing in different phases of life.
Some people view a challenge as only a bottleneck to achieve their goals, while there are people who view challenges as opportunities to grow. It all depends on your perspective about a challenge and how you want to overcome it, as your thought process determines how well you deal with your challenge.
A Challenge is a Positive Phenomenon
The best way to get you through tough situations is to think positively about them. Positive connotation about a situation gives you positive energy and a renewed hope to achieve a better outcome. Negative thoughts only mess with your mind and drain your energy levels.
People who lose hope very quickly actually feel shaken by challenges in their lives. The size or nature of a challenge does not matter for people who always associate negative thoughts to every situation. For them, a challenge is always a miserable situation which makes them feel terrible, which ultimately leads to a perpetual state of unhappiness.
You Can Do It
Every tough situation raises one pressing question in your mind: are you capable of dealing with it? Your answer to this question determines what you think about yourself and how others think about you. If you think you are capable of dealing with it, then others will also think of you as a strong person.
However, if you think about yourself as a weak person, then not only will you feel and act weakly in response to the challenge, but others will also consider you a weak person who is incapable of handling a challenge. Hence, your response to such a question should always be in the positive.
The way you answer this question is the result of a conscious process. It depends on your level of self-awareness. You need to ask yourself this question in every tough situation, no matter how big or small. If you want to see yourself emerge a stronger person, then you need to convince your heart to generate enough willpower to become a strong person. This willpower will give you the necessary energy to face any challenge that may come your way in life.
The Importance of Self-Awareness
Being self-aware is important especially when you need to make tough decisions about life. You are the only person who knows exactly what kind of person you are and what kind of person you want to become. You know your strengths and weaknesses more than anyone else. You are aware of your hidden fears and your psychological dispositions. You know your mental programming and you know your areas of improvement.
By consciously thinking of your state of being, you can create a clearer image of yourself. If you had been thinking of yourself as incapable of facing any challenge, then this perception of yourself may as well change for the better. By focusing on the kind of person that you want to become, you can provide the necessary catalyst to generate the needed strength to deal with any challenge that comes your way.
Focus on the Good Things In Life
Everyone wants to achieve something from life, to fulfill their desires, but are unable to achieve them because they think their challenges are too difficult to overcome. By focusing too much on challenges and by thinking of yourself as incapable of facing those challenges, you disallow yourself all the other possibilities that exist under such a situation. You need to focus on every situation with a wide perspective.
Your decisions affect your family, your friends, your future life and the society as a whole. Before shutting your eyes to any challenge, you need to consider all the consequences and outcomes that will result because of your decisions. Considering these factors will in fact make your decision making process much easier.
Experts believe that leading a happy and successful life is a matter of choice. The wellbeing of your emotional state and physical state depends upon the choices that you make in life through your thought process. What beliefs you harbor in yourself through conscious self-awareness process will determine the level of happiness you achieve in life.
